Finding a passion

Now that The Better Half has really taken off (tell you about the really great shows later) I find myself no longer spending all my free time helping the guys. I'm starting to feel as though I need my own passion. Of course I love quilting, making jewelry, designing new things in my home and taking pictures.. but what am I truly passionate about? I'd love to hear what others would give up their everyday lives to do.

Let's try this again

Okay.. so I was all about starting to blog.. and like most projects I begin... I got overwhelmed thinking about too many ideas to talk about. I paused, put it down and forgot to pick it back up. So we're going to give this another try.

Wardrobe Mistress

Of course anyone who knows me would tell you that I have a very big passion in life, we call them The Better Half. The Better Half consists of four men in my life, Ray, Ron, Caleb and of course the love of my life Patrick, my husband. I can tell you one of the most exciting moments that I think we've experienced was the first time we heard them on the radio. It was just like the scene from "That Thing You Do". I've even earned the title Wardrobe Mistress. Their music can fit any mood. They can calm you down after a bad day, encourage you, or make you rock your ass off just for the hell of it! They have created a chapter in my life that will hopefully turn into a novel. You should definitely check them out at www.betterhalfmusic.com.

My first blog

So my mom has been telling me I should blog about my life... it all started by her being in one of my favorite places, Barnes and Noble and coming across one of the sweetest book covers I have ever seen "Blogging for Bliss". After telling me about the book several times, I decided to go pick it up. It's full of so many creative ideas and I finally decided to give this a try. I'll be honest.. I've always thought unless you have an amazing talent and are trying to promote yourself.. that people who have blogs are too lazy to have conversations with their friends or are self absorbed that they have to put their lives out there for the world to see. I do not consider myself to be either of these... I'm really just someone who has lots of fun stories to tell and think it would be fun for others to read. So I may have to take back my words.

To tell a little about myself, which may explain my title, I've been married to the drummer of an up and coming original band, which you'll hear about a lot more later, this first post is supposed to be about me right? When I am not at work or living up to the title "bandbride" I love to be creative. Whether it's sewing, quilting, making jewelry, or trying to come up with something to design in my apartment. I'm always looking for something else to do.

Like I said before, you'll hear all about how I spend my time.. but I figured I would just start out with the basics. Hopefully, this doesn't turn out like the other projects I have started and gets stored in a plastic bin.
